As an
Engineer – Product Stewardship, you will play a key role in ensuring Molex products meet global environmental regulations and customer‑specific requirements. You will work closely with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to manage environmental compliance data, support product launches, and maintain accurate regulatory documentation throughout the product lifecycle

We are part of the Power & Signal Business Unit (PSBU) in Molex. We offer innovative and integrated solutions in design and development of cable assemblies and electronic solutions with an end-to-end support from Concept to Launch. We support a global and diverse customer base, and our cable assemblies are used in various market segments, including consumer, automotive, datacom and medical.
What You Will Do
To comply with environmental laws such as the RoHS Directive and REACH regulations, as well as customers' unique environmental requirements, this job involves obtaining and managing environmental materials for components used in products that comply with the Molex Chemical Guidelines (MCSS) as well as Customer specific requirements. Leveraging your knowledge of Molex chemical substance guidelines and customer requirements, you will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to work as professionals in environmental documentation..
As a Product Stewardship Engineer you will be responsible for,
- Requesting vendors to submit environmental documentation, managing progress, reviewing and revising materials, and registering them in databases
- Update regulatory documents in SAP DMS, including RoHS, REACH, Declaration of Non-Use (DoNU's), IMDS and Substance Test reports.
- Co-ordinate with internal as well as external stakeholders for necessary Product compliance supports
- Handle Customer Environmental Requests (CER's) and fulfill Customer surveys/forms
- Plan, prioritize, and problem-solve to achieve established project objectives.
- Stay updated on regulatory requirements and future trends concerning EHS
Who Are You (Basic Qualifications)
- 1-3 years work experience in Product Compliance/Stewardship functions
- Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical/Industrial/Electrical/Electronics/Chemical/ Environmental)
- Good knowledge of RoHS, REACH, Full Material Declarations (FMD) / IMDS and other Environmental regulations and processes.
- The ability to pay close attention to detail such as matching chemical substance names, calculating values, and registering in databases, and to carry out tasks accurately and carefully.
- Ability to appropriately communicate requirements and coordinate delivery dates through smooth internal and external communication
- Individuals who approach challenges with a positive attitude and can take proactive action toward solutions
What Will Put You Ahead
- Basic working knowledge in SAP and material knowledge specific to Product Stewardship.
- Experience in process improvements related to product stewardship
- Good and effective technical communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS office tools such as Word, Excel, VBA-Macro development, Co-pilot, Power automate, etc.
