Maintenance Engineer
Being a Maintenance Engineer in a product-based manufacturing company, you will be responsible for
ensuring smooth operation, upkeep, and troubleshooting of production equipment, test setups, and utilities
in a power electronics / cleantech manufacturing environment.
The Opportunity
You will get hands-on exposure to SMT lines, Product Assembly Lines, Battery Pack Assembly Lines, testing
equipment’s, Compressors, power equipment like 3 Phase UPS amp; inverters, working closely with production,
engineering amp; Admin teams. This role offers a strong foundation in industrial maintenance, equipment
reliability, and continuous improvement practices, making it ideal for candidates aspiring to build a career in
maintenance-driven manufacturing excellence.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Strategic Responsibilities (Basic Level):
Support implementation of preventive and predictive maintenance systems
Contribute to equipment uptime improvement initiatives
Assist in spares planning and inventory control for critical machines
- Functional Responsibilities:
Perform/Monitor routine preventive maintenance (PM) of machines such as:
- SMT M/Cs (Pick amp; Place, Reflow Oven, ), Spot welding M/Cs, Ultrasonic Welding M/C, Glue
dispenser, etc.
- Testing equipment, burn-in setups
- Assembly line tools and fixtures
Attend and resolve machine breakdowns on shop floor
Support in root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions
Maintain maintenance logs, checklists, and history records
Coordinate with external vendors/service engineers for machine servicing
Ensure availability of utilities (compressed air, power, ESD systems)
Work on basic electrical and electronics troubleshooting
Assist in installation and commissioning of new machines/equipment
Ensure adherence to safety, ESD, and 5S practices
Support continuous improvement (Kaizen) activities

Exposure to SMT amp; other Production line maintenance or electronics manufacturing
Knowledge of power electronics systems (chargers, batteries, inverters)
Experience with maintenance tools and diagnostic instruments
Participation in Kaizen / Lean initiatives
Qualifications
ITI/Diploma in Electrical / Electronics / Mechatronics Engineering
2–3 years of experience in manufacturing / maintenance (preferred in electronics industry)
Basic Understanding Of
- Electrical systems, control panels, and wiring
- SMT / electronics manufacturing equipment (preferred)
