Job Description: Windows Server Administrator – L2
Role Summary
We are looking for a skilled Windows Server Administrator (Level 2) to manage, support, and maintain enterprise Windows server environments. The candidate will be responsible for L2 operational support, troubleshooting, patching, and infrastructure support activities to ensure high availability, performance, and security of Windows systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Level 2 support for Windows Server environments (2012 / 2016 / 2019 / 2022).
- Perform server administration activities including installation, configuration, monitoring, and maintenance.
- Manage and support Active Directory (user/group management, GPOs, DNS, DHCP).
- Handle incident, change, and problem management as per ITIL processes.
- Perform Windows patching, vulnerability remediation, and reboot coordination.
- Troubleshoot server performance, availability, and connectivity issues.
- Work on server builds, decommissioning, and documentation.
- Provide support during planned activities and major incidents.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Network, Backup, Security, Virtualization, Application teams).
- Ensure compliance with security standards and operational procedures.
- Maintain operational documentation and knowledge base articles.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience in Windows Server administration / support.
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Windows Server 2012/2016/2019/2022
- Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, File & Print services
- Server patching and vulnerability management
- Incident and change management processes
- Strong troubleshooting skills using Event Viewer, Task Manager, Performance Monitor.
- Experience working in enterprise / production support environments.
- Exposure to virtualization platforms (VMware / Hyper-V / Nutanix).
- Working knowledge of backup tools and antivirus solutions.
- Basic to intermediate PowerShell scripting is an advantage.
Good to Have
- ITIL Foundation certification
- Microsoft certifications (MCSA / Azure / Windows Server)
- Experience in 24x7 operations support
- Exposure to security hardening and compliance activities

- Good coordination skills with onsite and offshore teams

Work Conditions
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts / on-call support
