How You'll Help Us Connect The World

The Reliability Engineer is a key member of the Andrew Structures & Connectivity Engineering Quality & Reliability organization, supporting S&C business in Goa, India. Primary responsibilities include Reliability risk assessment and Reliability Test for Microwave antenna products. The role involves leading risk assessment, test plan development, fixture design, data collection, and test automation, with a specific focus on mechanical and RF & electrical products.

You Will Make An Impact By

  • Partnering with the MWS (Microwave) Engineering team during the early design stage to provide reliability inputs.
  • Developing and executing product test plans based on DFMEA and risk assessment for new designs.
  • Managing and executing reliability tests (RF, Environmental, and Mechanical) while maintaining a real-time feedback loop with the engineering team regarding product behavior under stress.
  • Acting as the primary investigator for testing failures. Leading cross-functional teams (ME, RF, and Operations) through structured RCA to identify technical root causes.
  • Owning the end-to-end reliability reporting process, transforming raw test data into actionable technical reports and failure logs that facilitate rapid design iterations and ensuring audit readiness.
  • Reviewing and verifying proposed design changes (ECR/ECN) from the engineering team. Design and execute targeted "delta-tests" to ensure that improvements resolve original issues without introducing new reliability risks.
  • Developing and maintaining a local Reliability Knowledge Base/Database for MWS products.
  • Ensuring that "lessons learned" from Goa-based projects are integrated into future design cycles to prevent repetitive failures.
  • Working closely with the Engineering team to design and validate specialized test fixtures and interfaces required for MWS antenna testing, ensuring measurement accuracy and repeatability.
  • Maintaining a deep understanding of MWS product design and global industry standards (e.g., ETSI, IEC) to ensure all test protocols are technically compliant.
  • Being the primary S&C reliability point of contact, managing project pipelines and prioritizing multiple S&C tasks to align with global product launch timelines.
  • Providing support to other global entities on reliability testing as and when needed. Coordinating with global reliability team on schedule and location of testing.

Required Qualifications For Consideration

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Mechatronics / RF / Communication Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 7+ years of overall experience with at least 3+ years of engineering experience working in a reliability laboratory or environmental test laboratory.
  • Proven hands-on experience in reliability testing, including development of test plans, execution of qualification and stress tests (environmental, mechanical, and RF), and day-to-day laboratory operations.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of reliability engineering principles, product qualification processes, and failure analysis methodologies.
  • Strong experience in failure investigation and structured root cause analysis.
  • Familiarity with microwave antenna (MWS) design concepts and relevant internal and external testing standards (e.g., ETSI, IEC) is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of environmental and mechanical test methods applied to materials and finished products.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams, customers, and suppliers.
  • Practical exposure to environmental testing equipment such as thermal chambers, vibration and wind loading test setup.
  • Experience preparing technical test reports, failure analysis documentation, and presenting findings to engineering teams.
  • Experience with engineering change validation (ECR/ECN) through targeted or delta testing is an advantage.

You Will Excite Us If You

  • Have knowledge of environmental and reliability testing methods for mechanical, RF, and electrical products.
  • Have experience applying root cause analysis tools and reliability engineering techniques.
  • Are familiar with international testing standards and procedures related to microwave antenna products.
  • Are able to use basic statistical tools (e.g., MINITAB) for data analysis and reporting is an advantage.
  • Have strong teamwork skills with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Are proficient in SAP and standard office tools (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Have strong computer literacy with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Have prior experience working with global engineering or reliability teams
