The Innovation team is seeking a hands-on Power BI Engineer based out of our Bengaluru office in India. This role requires strong experience with strong experience in Microsoft Fabric to build scalable analytics solutions to enable scalable, secure, and automated delivery of products and data analytics solutions. This role combines Power BI expertise with data modelling, integration, and platform-level responsibilities across enterprise data ecosystems.

How You'll Spend Your Time:
- Develop Power BI reports, dashboards, and semantic models aligned to enterprise standards
- Design scalable data models (star/snowflake schemas)
- Build and optimize DAX measures, calculations, and reusable datasets
- Integrate Power BI with Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Warehouse, OneLake)
- Develop and maintain dataflows (Gen2), pipelines, and data integration workflows
- Implement governance practices including RLS, access control, and dataset management
- Perform performance tuning of reports, datasets, and queries
- Collaborate with data engineers and business stakeholders for requirement delivery
- Support CI/CD and version control (Git / Azure DevOps)
- Mentor junior developers and enforce development standards
Technical Skills
- Power BI: DAX, Power Query (M), data modeling, performance tuning
- Semantic modeling and dataset optimization
- Security: Row-Level Security (RLS) / Object-Level Security (OLS)
- Microsoft Fabric: Lakehouse, Warehouse, OneLake integration
- SQL: Advanced querying and optimization
- Data integration: APIs and external sources
- Git-based version control and CI/CD
Good to Have
- Azure services: ADF, Synapse, Databricks
- Exposure to data engineering concepts (ETL/ELT, pipelines)
- Data governance tools
- Power BI Embedded / API integrations
- Power Platform ALM
- Multi-tenant / customer platform experience
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Statistics, or related
- 5-7 years of experience in technology with 4+ years in Power BI
- Experience working with cloud-based data platforms (Azure / Fabric preferred)
- Exposure to multi-domain solutions (data + AI + applications)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
- Ability to translate business problems into data-driven solutions
- Strong collaboration with engineering and business teams
- Ownership mindset with focus on impact and scalability
- Ability to work in agile, product-driven environment
