Engineer I – Field Service (Projects)
Location & Role
- Location: Ahmedabad, India | Full-Time (On-site & Office) | Service Operations
Experience
- 3–8 years of experience in HVAC piping design and project execution
- Hands-on experience in chilled water piping, plumbing, primary & secondary pumps, and thermal storage systems
- Working knowledge of HVAC accessories and control systems
Job Summary
- Lead design, development, and execution of liquid cooling systems for data centres with strong thermal and fluid engineering expertise
Key Responsibilities Project Delivery
- Assist liquid cooling projects from concept to completion
- Participate in project meetings and provide design inputs
- Coordinate cross-functional teams (Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing)
- Review and approve designs for accuracy and compliance
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables
- Execute HVAC chilled water, plumbing, and fire line piping systems
Testing & Validation
- Develop and execute test plans for cooling system validation
- Analyse test data and improve system performance
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations
Service & Operations
- Apply knowledge of heat transfer, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics in project execution
- Understand control systems, BMS and sensor integration
- Perform preventive maintenance, bulletin implementation, and troubleshooting within SLA
- Mentor junior team members and support knowledge sharing
- Maintain proper technical documentation and reporting
Preferred Criteria
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Strong knowledge of piping codes and standards (ASHRAE, ASME)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
- Proven experience in project execution
