Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Visakhapatnam for an Engineer CETP (Common Effluent Treatment Plant) Operations. The role involves overseeing day-to-day operation of the CETP, including monitoring treatment processes, ensuring optimal plant performance, and maintaining compliance with environmental and safety regulations. The engineer will supervise plant operators and technical staff, schedule and coordinate routine maintenance, and support troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, or process issues. Responsibilities include analyzing water and effluent quality data, preparing operational reports, coordinating with regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and sustainability. The role also requires maintaining standard operating procedures, supporting audits, and contributing to environmental management and resource optimization across the park.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of effluent treatment processes, wastewater treatment technologies, and environmental engineering concepts.
- Experience in operating and maintaining CETP or similar industrial utilities, including pumps, clarifiers, filters, and related equipment.
- Understanding of environmental regulations, pollution control norms, and compliance reporting requirements applicable to industrial parks.
- Ability to interpret process data, laboratory test results, and operational parameters to drive improvements and maintain quality standards.
- Skills in coordinating with cross-functional teams, supervising technical staff, and managing on-site operations in a manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong safety awareness, familiarity with EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) practices, and commitment to safe work procedures.
- Good communication and documentation skills, with proficiency in basic computer applications and report writing.
- Prior experience in large-scale industrial utilities, textiles, or apparel manufacturing parks is an added advantage.
