Job Title – Sr. Engineer, L1 – DDoS Security Engineer (Operations & Monitoring)

Experience

3 years of experience in SOC/NOC or network security operations

Hands-on exposure to DDoS protection tools (Arbor preferred)

Education : Graduation in any discipline

Certification : CEH/ Any FW or any Network certification.

Location : Kolkata

Role Overview

The L1 Engineer will be responsible for continuous monitoring of Arbor Edge Defense devices, initial alert analysis, and escalation as per SOPs to ensure timely DDoS detection and response.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor Arbor Edge Defense (AED 8200) dashboards for alerts and anomalies.
• Perform initial triage of DDoS alerts and incidents.
• Execute basic mitigation steps as per approved SOPs.
• Monitor device health, availability, and performance.
• Create and update incident tickets with accurate details.
• Escalate incidents, device issues, and anomalies to L2 as per SLA.
• Assist in preparing daily operational and shift handover reports.
  
  

Technical Skills Required

• Good understanding of DDoS attack types.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, networking fundamentals, and traffic behavior.
• Familiarity with SOC tools and ticketing systems.
• Ready to work in 24x7 shift operations.
