We are hiring for an Engineer – SS LE role with one of our esteemed OEM clients in Bangalore.
Role Definition
Responsible for planning shift production as per customer demand, ensuring supply of quality parts to the next process, maintaining 5S conditions on the shop floor, and handling shift operations effectively.
Job Responsibilities
• Planning production as per customer requirements (Kanban)
• Ensuring safe work environment and shop floor discipline
• Maintaining product quality supplied to customers
• Manpower allocation and process assignment
• Work allocation to team members
• Training team members and ensuring multi-skilling
• Ensuring trials are completed as per schedule
• Coordination with cross-functional departments
• Updating documents for any process/layout changes
• Ensuring adherence to standard work practices
• Maintaining standard conditions set by PE team
• Identifying and resolving machine & mould abnormalities
• Conducting process audits for standard adherence
• Driving learnings from past projects for improvements
• Monitoring productivity continuously
• Supervising manpower and operations
• Standardizing processes for new and existing parts
• Maintaining documentation and records
• Driving Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives
• Preparing work standards for new parts
• Training new members on operations
• Preparing layouts in coordination with TPS team
• Ensuring Kanban system implementation
• Supporting mould change reduction initiatives
• Implementing and sustaining RJ concepts

Quantitative:
• Plan vs Actual achievement
• Zero accidents/incidents
• Machine efficiency improvement

• Leather Wrapping & Stitching (Mandatory)
• Defects in Leather Wrapping, Steering Wheel Assembly, ADC & PU moulding

• Engineering drawing reading
