Role Description The Engineer – Service Business role at Ion Exchange India Ltd. is a full-time, on-site position based in Asansol. The role involves providing technical support and service solutions for water and wastewater treatment systems, including site assessments, troubleshooting, and performance optimization. The engineer will manage service projects, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and ensure timely delivery of services to industrial and commercial clients. Daily responsibilities include analyzing customer requirements, preparing technical proposals, supporting sales and business development activities, and maintaining documentation and reports. The role also requires regular client interactions to address service needs, build long-term relationships, and identify opportunities for service improvements and upgrades.

- Strong analytical skills to evaluate system performance, diagnose issues, and recommend effective service solutions.
- Communication skills to interact with customers, collaborate with internal teams, and present technical information clearly.
- Business analysis and sales skills to understand customer needs, support service business growth, and contribute to revenue generation.
- Project management skills to plan, execute, and monitor service projects, ensuring timelines, quality, and safety standards are met.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (chemical, mechanical, environmental, or related field) or equivalent technical qualification.
- Experience in water and wastewater treatment, environmental services, or industrial utilities is highly beneficial.
- Ability to work on-site at customer locations, with readiness for field visits and coordination with operations teams.
- Familiarity with safety practices, regulatory compliance, and quality standards in industrial service environments.
