NEXORA TECH
Board Ready Program
Engagement Delivery Lead
Retainer | Part-Time | Remote / Client Site
This is not a project management role. This is a senior governance practitioner role — someone who can walk into a room with a CRO or CISO and command the conversation.
About the Role
Nexora Tech's Board Ready Program is a structured six-month AI governance advisory engagement that takes boards and senior leadership from AI literacy through to independent assurance. The programme is led by Aparna Kumar — Founder of Nexora Tech and former CIO at SBI and HSBC — who owns every board touchpoint, every C-suite session, and every strategic milestone.
The Engagement Delivery Lead is the programme's operational backbone. You run the working group sessions between Aparna's touchpoints, own the evidence documentation and deliverable quality, and maintain the client relationship across the full programme lifecycle. You are the person who keeps Month 2 running while Aparna is preparing Month 3's board session.
This is a retainer-based, part-time engagement. Time commitment is 2–6 days per month per engagement per Engagement Delivery Manager. Each Engagement Delivery Manager manages 4-5 engagements depending on the number of days required in a month. As you help Nexora Tech scale to 4+ simultaneous programmes managed by you, this role has a clear path to a full-time Engagement Delivery Lead position.
Responsibility Clusters
01 Programme Delivery
• Lead all working group sessions across Months 1–5 of each Board Ready Programme engagement, including AI Inventory workshops, Risk Classification sessions, regulatory readiness reviews, and governance framework build-outs
• Own the AI Inventory and Risk Classification workstream — conducting structured interviews with management, mapping AI systems to risk categories (NIST AI RMF, EU AI Act, DPDP Act), and producing the Classification Register that feeds into board reporting
• Coordinate adversarial testing and red-team exercises with client technical teams — including prompt injection assessment, model drift reviews, and agentic AI permission boundary testing — and translate findings into board-ready risk language
• Maintain programme momentum between Aparna's board touchpoints, ensuring working group outputs are on track, deliverables are completed to standard, and the client team is engaged and accountable
• Prepare all session materials, facilitation guides, and pre-read packs for working group sessions
02 Client Relationship Management
• Serve as the primary client contact for day-to-day programme matters between Aparna's board sessions — this includes managing stakeholder queries, resolving workstream blockers, and maintaining client confidence
• Build and sustain working relationships with the client's CRO, CISO, Chief Compliance Officer, and senior IT leadership — the people who own the implementation between board sessions
• Maintain a clear and current programme status view, flagging risks or blockers to Aparna in advance of board touchpoints so she walks into every board session fully briefed
• Manage client expectations on deliverable timelines, scope, and evidence requirements — escalating any material scope or relationship issues to Aparna promptly
03 Governance & Documentation
• Quality-assure all analytical and documentary output produced by the programme's Analyst function — including AI Inventory entries, Risk Assessment records, regulatory mapping documents, and draft board papers
• Maintain the programme's evidence pack — the structured body of documentation that constitutes the client's AI governance record and must withstand regulatory scrutiny
• Ensure all deliverables conform to Nexora Tech's quality standards and are consistent with the programme's governance frameworks: NIST AI RMF, ISO/IEC 42001, OECD AI Principles, and applicable Indian and global regulations
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of Nexora Tech's programme methodology — flagging client-side insights that should inform template updates, facilitation approaches, or framework refinements
Essential Requirements
Experience & Depth
• 8–12 years in enterprise risk management, IT governance, or information security — at a depth that allows credible, independent engagement with a CRO, CISO, or DPO
• Demonstrable experience designing, implementing, or auditing governance frameworks in regulated environments — BFSI, healthcare, critical infrastructure, or equivalent
• Prior experience leading structured workshops or working group sessions with senior management stakeholders — not presenting to them, but facilitating substantive governance work with them
• Track record of producing high-quality governance documentation — risk assessments, control frameworks, board papers — that have been used in actual regulatory or audit contexts
Knowledge & Frameworks
• NIST AI Risk Management Framework — working knowledge of the GOVERN, MAP, MEASURE, and MANAGE functions is essential; you must be able to run an AI RMF session without a script
• EU AI Act — working familiarity with the risk classification regime, high-risk system obligations, and human oversight requirements (Article 14)
• India DPDP Act — familiarity with data fiduciary obligations, automated decision-making implications, and board-level accountability framework
• AI-specific risk concepts: prompt injection, model drift, automation bias, agentic AI permission design, AI washing — fluency at the level required to brief a board committee, not manage a deployment
Certifications (Essential / Preferred)
• CISA, CRISC, or CISSP — at least one is essential; two or more is preferred
• ISO 27001 Lead Auditor, ISO/IEC 42001 awareness, or equivalent — preferred
• Formal training in NIST AI RMF or equivalent AI governance framework — preferred
This Role Will Not Work For You If —
• Your background is pure IT consulting or technology project delivery with limited governance depth — this role requires independent substantive judgment on risk and governance matters, not execution of defined tasks
• You need close day-to-day management to stay on track — this is a fractional retainer role requiring high autonomy and self-direction
• You are looking to step into board-facing sessions — Aparna Kumar leads every board session and every C-suite touchpoint; this role does not substitute for her at the board interface under any circumstances
• You are primarily a trainer or educator — programme delivery here means facilitation of real governance work, not teaching governance concepts
• Your AI knowledge is limited to general awareness — you need to be able to run an NIST AI RMF working session and hold a technical conversation with a CISO

How to Apply
Send a short note — not a CV alone — to hr@nexoratechsolutions.com with the subject line: Engagement Delivery Lead — Board Ready Program.
Your note should address three things specifically:
• One governance framework engagement you have led — what you did, who the stakeholders were, and what the output was
• Your current working knowledge of the NIST AI RMF — specifically the GOVERN function
• Why a fractional retainer model suits your current professional situation
We do not shortlist based solely on a CV. We shortlist based on evidence of governance depth and independent judgment.
