Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Endoscopy Technician role based in Kozhikode. The Endoscopy Technician will assist in endoscopic procedures by preparing procedure rooms, setting up and checking endoscopy equipment, and supporting clinicians during examinations. Daily responsibilities include patient preparation, ensuring comfort and safety, and explaining procedure steps under clinical guidance. The role also involves cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing endoscopes and related instruments in accordance with infection control protocols, maintaining accurate records, and managing inventory of supplies. The Endoscopy Technician will collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other team members to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality patient care.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in endoscopy procedures and equipment handling (Endoscopy).
- Demonstrated ability to perform instrument cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization following established infection control standards (Sterilization).
- Familiarity with operating room practices, surgical instruments, and procedural support in minimally invasive and related interventions (Surgical Technology).
- Skills in patient preparation, basic clinical support, and assisting healthcare professionals during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures (Medical Assisting).
- Foundational understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and safe clinical practices (Medicine).
- Relevant certification or diploma in endoscopy technology, surgical technology, or allied health; previous experience in a hospital setting is preferred.
- Ability to follow detailed protocols, maintain accurate documentation, and work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to patient-centered care, ethical conduct, and continuous learning.
