Experienced Wind Turbine Technicians for Offshore Project

If you have M&E/Service experience please consider joining Muehlhan Wind Service as an Offshore Wind Technician working on the Vineyard Wind Project off the coast of Massachusetts.

Technicians will live on the island of Martha’s Vineyard in company housing; travel to the offshore wind farm each shift by helicopter or CTV and return to the island after their shift. Work will be in rotations of 6 weeks on and 2 weeks off. Your lodging, transportation, a stipend, and daily per diem, are provided in addition to your compensation and all travel expenses.

  • Comfortable with heights, extreme temperatures, confined spaces.

 Required Skills:

  • Able to climb extremely high wind turbines.
  • Safety 1st focus! Follow all assigned Environmental, Health and Safety procedures.
  • Verify that work is completed in compliance with customer’s requirements.
  • Document all work performed.
  • Read, understand, and utilize written instructions. I.e., installation manual, TWP, WDI, PCAT, FCAT, CCT and others.
  • Perform installation, material handling, inventory, inspection, commissioning, or maintenance of completed GE turbines.
  • Document deficiencies found during inspections.
  • Repair defects.
  • Report policy or procedure violation.
  • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems.
  • Submit progress reports.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Ability to utilize hand tools.

All candidates must have a valid driver’s license or other State ID, be able to pass a drug test and a background check. You must be able to work in an indoor or outdoor environment in adverse conditions within confined spaces at heights above 800 feet. Candidates must be able to work and manipulate 50 lbs. and demonstrate visual acuity including depth perception, field of view and ability to distinguish colors.
