Job Description
We are currently hiring EMS Specialists/Paramedics in Saudi Arabia to support emergency medical services in remote-area clinics and industrial clinic environments.
The EMS Specialist will work as part of an ambulance or emergency response team and will support doctors, nurses, and medical staff in providing urgent care, emergency response, patient stabilization, and safe patient transportation.
The ideal candidate must hold or be eligible for the required Saudi healthcare licensing and should have strong emergency medical service experience, preferably in emergency rooms, remote sites, industrial clinics, or ambulance-based EMS operations.
Responsibilities
- Drive and staff ambulances and emergency response vehicles.
- Respond promptly to emergency calls and support emergency medical interventions.
- Conduct daily shift vehicle inspections and medical stock audits.
- Maintain accurate ambulance logbook records.
- Keep ambulances and emergency vehicles clean, prepared, and roadworthy.
- Assist in assessing, stabilizing, and monitoring patients.
- Provide emergency treatment and support pain management and IV infusion procedures as directed.
- Dress wounds and manage injuries according to EMS protocols.
- Use emergency medical equipment, including AEDs and defibrillators.
- Transport patients safely to hospitals or medical facilities while continuing care during transit.
- Communicate effectively with patients, relatives, colleagues, and medical teams.
- Support doctors, nurses, and senior medics during emergency response cases.
- Teach or assist in training others on basic first aid techniques when required.
- Maintain a clean ambulance driving record with no traffic violations.
- Follow all clinic, EMS, safety, and infection control policies and procedures.
Requirements
Candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Willing to relocate to Saudi Arabia
- Completion of a recognized Emergency Medical Services / Paramedic Program from a local or international college or university.
- Bachelor’s degree in EMS / Paramedic is preferred or required as per licensing requirements.
- Minimum 3 years post-registration experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in an emergency room, remote clinic, industrial clinic, or similar emergency care setting.
- Current SCFHS registration, Ministry of Health medical license, and home country registration/license to practice.
- Candidate should be Ex-Saudi or at least a Saudi Prometric passer with Specialist License.
- Valid Saudi Ambulance Driving License with no outstanding traffic violations.
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
- Valid AHA or SHA certifications, including First Aid, BLS, and ACLS, with at least 6 months' validity before expiry at the date of mobilization.
- Valid NAEMT PHTLS certification with at least 12 months' validity before expiry at the date of mobilization.
- Ability to work in remote areas and industrial clinic environments.
