Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an EMR Implementation Specialist, based in Hyderabad or Chennai. The role involves coordinating and executing the implementation of Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems within the hospital setting. Responsibilities include system configuration, staff training, resolving technical issues, and ensuring the seamless integration of EMR systems with existing workflows. The role also requires collaborating with medical and IT teams to optimize EMR functionalities and improve patient care delivery.
Qualifications
- Lead full-cycle EMR implementation — from scoping, configuration, and data migration to go-live and post-live support
- Conduct workflow analysis across clinical departments (OPD, IPD, OT, Pharmacy, Lab) and map them to EMR modules
- Coordinate with the EMR vendor, internal IT team, Clinicians, and hospital administration as the single point of contact
- Develop and execute training programs for Doctors, Nurses, and administrative staff
- Manage project timelines, budgets, risk logs, and escalation matrices
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements including ABDM, HL7/FHIR, and NABH standards
- Drive change management and handle resistance from clinical staff during transition
- Monitor post-go-live performance, resolve issues, and ensure data integrity
