About the Role
At Empirical, we’re redefining how software is tested through cutting-edge automation. As a Fullstack Engineer, you’ll play a key role in shaping our end-to-end platform—working on everything from browser internals and AI-driven automation workflows to elegant, intuitive UIs that delight users.
You’ll collaborate closely with a high-caliber team of engineers and designers to own features from ideation to deployment, with a high level of autonomy and ownership.
What You’ll Do
- Design and develop fullstack features across our core product
- Build highly-performant, intuitive user interfaces using React and TypeScript
- Implement backend services and APIs using Node.js
- Contribute to the architecture and evolution of our product’s frontend and backend systems
- Work closely with designers and PMs to craft a seamless user experience
- Tackle performance bottlenecks, optimize rendering, and ensure UI responsiveness
- Own deployment, monitoring, and iterative improvements across the stack
What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years of experience as a fullstack engineer, ideally in product-focused startups
- Strong expertise in React, TypeScript, and Node.js
- Passion for crafting clean, intuitive, and performant user experiences
- Solid understanding of modern web architecture and best practices
- Comfort working across the stack and owning features end-to-end
- Experience working in fast-paced, agile development environments
Nice to Have
- Experience with browser automation, devtools, or Chrome internals
- Familiarity with AI/ML-driven product workflows
- Experience deploying and managing apps on cloud platforms
- Prior work in developer tools or QA automation platforms
