As Emissions Data Assistant, you will work with verified emissions data across a global product tanker fleet, supporting audited MRV, Fuel EU, and IMO DCS reporting with clear ownership and defined processes. As Emissions Data Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in helping us deliver efficient and reliable solutions, contributing to TORM’s success in the global shipping industry.
Your Role: Make an Impact
In this role, you will be part of a high-performing team with a big impact on TORM´s environmental footprint and bottom-line. The Technical Decarbonization team is responsible for measuring, analyzing, and determining actual fleet performance as well as engaging in implementation of projects for fulfilling TORM’s CO2 emission reduction goals.
In TORM, we have a significant range of energy projects on board our vessels and your primary task will be to ensure MRV, Fuel EU, IMO DCS data quality and ESG compliance.
This position will be reporting to the Head of Operational Performance and working from our office in Mumbai.
Key Responsibilities
- Revise and update EU/UK MRV, Fuel EU, and SEEMP Part I, II, and III plans to ensure ongoing regulatory compliance.
- Compile, verify, and document emissions data for quarterly and annual ESG reporting
- Maintain and validate vessel noon reporting data to ensure accurate and reliable emissions monitoring.
- Follow up with secondhand vessel sellers to collect complete and accurate historical emissions data.
- Complete the required procedures for reporting emissions related to sold vessels in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with external verifiers and Recognized Organizations to obtain timely final verification of emissions data within defined deadlines.
- Provide Liaise with commercial operations with to provide verified EU ETS and Fuel EU emissions statements.
To perform well in this role, you bring
- Hands-on experience performing data compliance or operational support tasks related to emissions reporting, regulatory documentation, or maritime performance data.
- Ability to maintain structured records and documentation for regulatory reporting, including organizing, updating, and validating MRV, DCS, Fuel EU or similar compliance data sets.
- Ability to review numerical and operational data for accuracy, identify inconsistencies, and correct errors to meet regulatory and verification requirements.
- Experience collaborating with colleagues, external verifiers, and trusted organizations across different regions to exchange compliance data and complete verification activities.
- Fluent in English, written and spoken
