About the job:
Emissions Analyst with us will be responsible for providing the required assistance in monitoring and managing regulatory and commercial emissions compliance from the fleet. Also responsible for delivering fact-based analysis for vessel and fleet performance using vessel performance platform as well as optimized solutions including automation / AI Tools to improve Emissions Products and Services.
Task & Responsibilities:
- Evaluate fuel performance data with the goal of reducing fuel consumption onboard vessels and conduct root cause analysis for variance in fuel consumption if reported or beginning to trend.
- Understanding of various National and International regulations related to GHG Emissions.
- Responsible for day-to-day predictions, voyage simulations and periodical Reporting of Vessel voyage Emissions performance.
- Directly responsible as PIC for specific Client Emissions Business deliverables.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders including Product development team for Emissions Business requirements.
- Assist in developing KPIs and business logics for product development: CII, EU ETS, UK ETS, Fuel EU and IMO GFI.
- Overseeing Junior Emission Analysts and Associates in Emissions tasks / responsibilities.
- Assist in managing Emission Processes and ensure continuous process improvement for higher efficiency (2X) by using AI Tools / logics while working within the team to support the development of the next generation application.
- Work with multiple stakeholders in complex situations and take ownership and keen interest in setting direction and bringing results, enjoy working in an ever-growing, result oriented environment
Qualification:
Graduate level of education as B.Sc. Nautical Science or BTech
Experience & Skills:
- Deck officer or Engineer with 1-3 year of sailing experience. Seniority of Candidate with higher sailing experience will be considered appropriately.
- At least 2-3 years prior experience in similar profile (Performance / Emissions or Commercial Ops)
- Critical thinking and analytical skills along with understanding and proficiency in analytical tools.
- Good problem-solving skills and experience of working in Excel for Data analysis.
