As part of Emerson’s operations team on Long Island, New York, you will play a key role in ensuring materials are accurately received, stored, and available to support production and customer commitments. This position contributes directly to operational excellence, safety, and continuous improvement while working alongside teams who value innovation, integrity, collaboration, and inclusion.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Receive, inspect, and document incoming materials to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with established procedures
- Maintain accurate inventory records through system transactions, cycle counts, and physical audits
- Store, label, and organize materials to support efficient workflows and safe handling practices
- Collaborate with procurement, production, and logistics teams to resolve discrepancies and support material availability
- Support continuous improvement efforts related to inventory accuracy, process efficiency, and workplace safety
- Follow all safety, quality, and regulatory requirements while contributing to a respectful and inclusive work environment

For This Role, You Will Need:
- 5 years’ experience in inventory control, receiving, warehousing, or a related operational environment
- Ability to accurately track, record, and manage inventory using digital systems or ERP tools
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy, safety, and quality
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with material handling, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team based setting
- A high school diploma/equivalent
- Ability to lift 60+ lbs
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
- Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Familiarity with cycle counting, inventory audits, or continuous improvement practices
- Experience using inventory or warehouse management systems
- Hazardous materials transportation training
- Familiarity with enterprise systems such as ERP or Oracle
- Understanding of lean principles, continuous improvement tools, or 5S practices
- Interest in learning new processes, technologies, or cross functional skills
Pay Range and Work Schedule:
- Pay Range: The expected annual pay range for this role is $45,000 – $55,000, ($21.63 hrly - $26.44) depending on skills, experience, and internal equity. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as role scope, location, and business needs.
- Work Schedule: This is an on site, salaried nonexempt, overtime eligible position based on Long Island, New York. Standard schedule is Monday through Friday, first shift, with occasional overtime as business needs require.
