About the role

Emerson is seeking a Graduate Engineer Trainee to join its Cybersecurity domain at Emerson Innovation Centre, Pune (EICP). This role offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative Product Security Group, performing vulnerability analysis, penetration testing, and working with global technical teams to enhance security controls. If you are a recent BCA/BSc Computer Science graduate, passionate about cybersecurity, and eager to learn, this position is perfect for you. Key Responsibilities Perform vulnerability analysis and penetration testing of web, thick-client, and mobile applications. Conduct protocol fuzz testing for industrial communication protocols. Provide mitigation strategies for identified vulnerabilities. Work closely with development teams to strengthen security controls. Learn and adapt quickly to dynamic cybersecurity challenges. Required Skills and Knowledge Primary Qualifications Familiarity with security penetration testing tools like Burp Suite, Kali Linux, DAST (App Scanner). Understanding of security protocols (HTTPS, HSTS, TLS, SSH). Strong analytical and decision-making skills. Good verbal and written communication skills. Secondary Qualifications Knowledge of scripting languages (TCL, Perl, Python, Shell) for exploit development. Familiarity with OWASP Top 10 and IEC 62443 security standards. Cybersecurity training or certification is an added advantage.
