Job SummaryAn Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) is responsible for providing immediate pre-hospital medical care in emergency and non-emergency situations. The role involves responding to emergency calls, stabilizing patients, and ensuring safe transport to healthcare facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Respond promptly to emergency calls and reach the scene on time
- Assess patient condition and determine the severity of illness or injury
- Provide first aid, CPR, oxygen therapy, and basic life support
- Stabilize patients before and during transportation
- Assist in safe transfer of patients to hospitals or healthcare centers
- Operate and maintain ambulances and emergency medical equipment
- Ensure all medical supplies and equipment are functional and well-stocked
- Follow safety protocols and emergency procedures at all times
- Maintain accurate patient care records and documentation
Requirements- Diploma in Emergency Medical Technician (DEMT) / DCCT / BSc in Emergency Care Technology / GNM
- Minimum 6–12 months of experience in ACLS ambulance services
- Certification or knowledge of BLS / ACLS / ATLS is required
- Good communication and decision-making skills
- Ability to work in high-pressure and emergency situations
- Willingness to work in shifts
Preferred Education- DEMT (Diploma in Emergency Medical Technology)
- BSc Emergency Medical Technology (EMT)
- Advanced PG Diploma in Emergency Medical Services
- Certificate in EMT – Advanced / Paramedic
