ShanMukha Innovations is looking for motivated people with a desire to create an impact. As an Embedded Systems Engineer, you will work with the R&D department to develop novel and improve existing products in the Medical Point-of-Care diagnostics space. Projects will vary from spectrometers to PCR Cyclers. You may also participate in research studies, data compilation, and paper publications
Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct literature surveys and technology research.
- Design, develop, and test embedded firmware and software solutions for standalone products.
- Develop robust communication protocols and secure embedded architectures.
- Design and integrate electronic hardware, sensors, and peripheral interfaces.
- Build, prototype, and validate complete electromechanical systems.
- Conduct experiments, analyze data, and document technical findings.
- Maintain firmware repositories and develop unit tests where applicable.
- Prepare technical documentation, reports, and design records.
- Collaborate across mechanical, electronics, product and assay teams to deliver innovative solutions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- BE/BTech in Electronics/Computer Science or related field with at least 1 years of experience in a relevant role.
- Proficiency in C/C++ programming for embedded systems.
- Experience with ARM Cortex-M or ESP32-based microcontrollers.
- Familiarity with RTOS concepts (e.g., FreeRTOS/Zephyr).
- Understanding of communication protocols such as I²C, SPI, UART, CAN, USB, or BLE.
- Proficiency in Embedded Linux, Building Standalone GUIs
- Experience with configuring and programming SBCs such as Raspberry Pi, Tinkerboard, etc.
- Knowledge of GUI Frameworks such as Qt, Electron, etc.
- Basic understanding of analog and digital electronics.
- Experience with Git/GitHub version control.
- Familiarity with embedded debugging and firmware testing methodologies.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office or equivalent productivity tools.
Good to Have
- OpenGL/ES, Custom GUI Graphics development experience
- Knowledge of Full-Stack Development, REST API development, etc.
- Python for automation, testing, or data analysis.
- Knowledge of FPGA, DSP, or signal processing.
- Project management or Agile development exposure.
