Role Description
The Embedded Systems Lead is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru. This role involves leading the design, development, and testing of embedded hardware and software for consumer, medical, industrial, automotive and mobility technology-focused products. The Embedded Systems Lead will define system architecture, select components, and oversee firmware implementation, ensuring reliability, performance, and cost-effectiveness. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams, reviewing designs and code, guiding junior engineers, and coordinating with stakeholders to meet project timelines and quality standards. The role also requires maintaining documentation, participating in design reviews, and driving continuous improvement in development processes and tools.
Qualifications and Responsibilities
- Strong embedded systems expertise, including microcontroller/microprocessor-based design, real-time systems, and integration of sensors and communication interfaces.
- Hands-on experience with embedded firmware development in C/C++ and familiarity with RTOS, device drivers, and low-level hardware-software interaction.
- Proficiency with hardware development tools such as schematics and PCB design review, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and debugging tools.
- Knowledge of communication protocols (e.g., I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, USB, BLE, Wi-Fi) and experience integrating these into embedded products.
- Experience leading engineering teams, mentoring developers, and managing end-to-end product development lifecycles.
- Understanding of product reliability, safety standards, and design for manufacturability and testability.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with design, mechanical, and product teams, and to communicate technical concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders.
- Experience in consumer electronics, medical, mobility products, Internet of Things (IoT), embedded audio/video processing is an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving mindset, attention to detail, and willingness to work on-site in a dynamic, innovation-driven environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
