We are seeking a skilled & proactive Embedded Software Engineer to develop and optimize embedded software and hardware solutions for our cutting-edge products.

Job Location- Mohali (Punjab)
Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering or a related field with 2-4years of experience.
Walnut Medical, a leader in medical device robotics and payment systems, is rapidly expanding into the automotive sector. With the development of an advanced automotive smart instrument cluster for OEMs, we are transitioning into a multi-vertical technology product company. As part of this growth, we are building strong automotive electronics vertical and seeking talented engineers to join our dynamic team.
Role & responsibilities
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in microcontroller programming, real-time operating systems (RTOS), and hardware-software integration.
Key Responsibilities
· Design and develop embedded software for microcontrollers and processors.
· Develop and implement real-time operating systems (RTOS) and embedded Linux solutions.
· Integrate software with hardware components, including sensors, actuators, and communication modules.
· Optimize code for performance, power consumption, and reliability.
· Develop and execute unit, integration, and system tests to ensure robust and reliable operation.
· Collaborate with hardware and software teams to define system architecture and specifications.
· Debug and troubleshoot embedded systems using oscilloscopes, logic analysers, and debugging tools.
· Interpret and analyze hardware schematics and PCB layouts for debugging and system integration.
· Maintain documentation, including design specifications, test reports, and user manuals.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Proficiency in C/C++ programming for embedded systems.
· Experience with microcontrollers (ARM Cortex, PIC, AVR, etc.).
· Strong understanding of embedded communication protocols (UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, etc.).
· Hands-on experience with embedded development tools, debuggers, and simulators.
· Knowledge of real-time operating systems (RTOS) and multitasking concepts.
· Experience in reading and interpreting circuit schematics and PCB layouts
Skills Required:
· Algorithm development and testing for embedded systems.
· Wireless protocols: Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, LoRa, Zigbee.
· Embedded C/C++ with microcontrollers (e.g., STM32, ESP32, ARM Cortex).
· Experience with Keil IDE, Git, and debugging tools (JTAG, logic analysers).
· Basic RTOS knowledge (e.g., FreeRTOS) and embedded design best practices.
· MATLAB/Simulink for control system modelling and simulation.
