Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and innovative Embedded PCB Design Engineer to design, develop, test, and support embedded electronic products involving MCUs, GSM, Wi-Fi, SPI, I2C, UART, and related communication interfaces. The role includes schematic and PCB design, firmware-level hardware integration support, prototype testing, debugging, component selection, and R&D procurement activities.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in embedded hardware development, troubleshooting, and coordination with vendors for electronic components and PCB fabrication.
Key Responsibilities
Embedded Hardware & PCB Design
- Design embedded hardware circuits using MCUs, GSM modules, Wi-Fi modules, sensors, and power supply circuits.
- Create schematic diagrams and multilayer PCB layouts using tools such as:
- Altium Designer (Preferred)
- KiCad
- EAGLE
- OrCAD
- Ensure proper routing for high-speed and mixed-signal designs.
- Work on communication interfaces including:
- SPI
- I2C
- UART
- RS485
- CAN (preferred)
Embedded Systems & Interface Integration
- Interface MCUs with GSM, GPS, Wi-Fi, BLE, displays, relays, sensors, and external peripherals.
- Support firmware engineers in hardware bring-up and debugging.
- Perform signal integrity and power integrity checks.
R&D Testing & Validation
- Conduct prototype assembly verification and functional testing.
- Debug hardware issues using:
- Oscilloscope
- Logic Analyzer
- Multimeter
- Power Analyzer
- Perform EMI/EMC awareness checks and reliability testing.
- Maintain test reports, validation records, and engineering documentation.
R&D Procurement & Vendor Coordination
- Identify and procure electronic components, development boards, connectors, and fabrication services.
- Coordinate with PCB manufacturers, assembly vendors, and component suppliers.
- Manage BOM preparation and alternate component selection.
- Track inventory and lead times for R&D requirements.
Documentation & Compliance
- Prepare:
- Gerber files
- BOMs
- Assembly drawings
- Test procedures
- Technical documentation
- Ensure designs meet industry and safety standards.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of embedded electronics and PCB design.
- Experience with:
- MCU-based systems
- GSM modules
- Wi-Fi modules
- Power management circuits
- Understanding of communication protocols:
- SPI
- I2C
- UART
- TCP/IP basics
- Hands-on debugging and testing skills.
- Knowledge of soldering and prototype rework.
- Familiarity with embedded development environments and datasheet analysis.
Educational Qualification
- B.Tech / BE / Diploma in:
- Electronics Engineering
- Embedded Systems
- Electrical & Electronics
Experience
- 1–5 years preferred (Freshers with strong project experience may also apply).

- Ability to work independently on prototypes and testing.
- Good vendor communication and procurement handling capability.
