Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Embedded Escalation Engineer (EEE) with strong expertise in Azure Databricks and Azure Analytics. This role sits at the intersection of engineering and support, focusing on deep technical troubleshooting, escalation management, and driving product/service improvements.
You will work closely with Azure Databricks Engineering and Support teams, acting as a key contributor to resolving complex customer issues and enhancing overall service reliability and customer experience.
Mandatory Skills
- Strong hands-on experience in Azure Databricks & Azure Analytics services
- Expertise in cloud troubleshooting, debugging, and escalation support
- Proficiency in at least one programming/scripting language:
- Python / Scala / Java / PowerShell
- Experience with distributed systems, big data processing, and cloud architecture
- Strong understanding of Azure platform (Compute, Storage, Networking)
Key Responsibilities
- Lead deep-dive technical investigations to resolve critical customer escalations in Azure Databricks environments
- Troubleshoot complex issues related to data pipelines, clusters, performance, and integrations
- Develop automation tools, scripts, and diagnostics solutions to improve issue detection and resolution
- Identify recurring issues and trends, and drive engineering fixes or preventive measures
- Collaborate with product engineering teams to file bugs, suggest design improvements, and ensure timely resolution
- Act as a technical bridge between support and product teams, ensuring customer issues are addressed effectively
- Drive self-healing, self-service, and automation initiatives within support workflows
- Contribute to knowledge base, documentation, and best practices for internal teams and customers
- Participate in architecture discussions and provide feedback to improve product reliability and supportability
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Apache Spark, Delta Lake, and big data ecosystems
- Knowledge of ETL pipelines and data engineering workflows
- Familiarity with monitoring tools, logging frameworks, and observability platforms
- Experience in incident management and root cause analysis (RCA)
- Understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation frameworks
