About The Founder
Amardeep Singh is an IIT Bombay alumnus & an aerospace engineer by education. He was a founding member of ideaForge - currently India’s biggest drone company & the first drone company to get listed on the Indian stock exchange.
His 16-year entrepreneurial journey is marked by a series of ambitious ventures spanning across diverse tech domains like Drones, Consumer Hardware, B2B SaaS & AI.

Requirements
About this role
As an Embedded Engineer at Armory, you will build and own the firmware that powers mission-critical defence systems.
You will operate at the intersection of hardware, RF systems, sensors, power electronics, and real-time software, ensuring our systems perform reliably in high-stakes, high-interference environments.
Must haves
- Design, develop, and maintain production-grade embedded firmware using C/C++ for mission-critical systems
- Build and optimise real-time applications on microcontrollers and embedded Linux platforms using RTOS where required
- Own hardware-software integration across RF modules, sensors, communication interfaces, and power systems
- Implement and debug communication protocols, including SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, and Ethernet
- Lead board bring-up activities, subsystem validation, and system-level testing
- Diagnose complex issues using oscilloscopes, logic analysers, JTAG, and other debugging tools
- Improve performance, reliability, and stability in constrained and high-interference environments
- Collaborate closely with RF, FPGA, mechanical, and systems teams to ensure cohesive architecture
- Take end-to-end ownership of firmware modules, from architecture and implementation to field validation
Bonus points for
- Experience in defence, aerospace, automotive, or other safety-critical systems
- Exposure to RF systems or signal processing
- Familiarity with high-speed interfaces (USB, PCIe, LVDS, etc.)
- Experience with firmware security, secure boot, or OTA updates
- Strong schematic-level debugging and EMI/EMC awareness

Work Location
Armory highly values having employees working in the office. We are establishing a collaborative work environment and company culture, and that simply does not happen from home. We are based out of Gurgaon and require employees to be in the office.

What your first 3 months at Armory will look like:
30 Days
- Deep dive into system architecture, hardware stack, and firmware structure.
- Shadow board bring-up and integration cycles.
- Debug real issues, not sandbox tasks.

60 Days
- Own a firmware module or subsystem end-to-end
- Improve reliability, performance, or latency in a measurable way
- Lead hardware–software integration for a feature or board revision
- Contribute to field validation and testing
90 Days
- Architect and ship a new embedded feature or system improvement
- Independently lead board bring-up for a subsystem iteration
- Strengthen robustness for real-world deployment conditions
- Become the go-to engineer for a critical part of the stack
