Senior International Assistance Officer (International Development)

Under the supervision of the Counsellor and Head of Cooperation at the Canadian Embassy and in close collaboration with the Global Affairs Canada (GAC) development team in Ottawa, the Senior International Development Officer supports all phases of programming and management of bilateral cooperation programs and projects. The Senior International Development Officer participates in the identification, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of bilateral programs and projects in Morocco. The Officer may also be called upon to support Canadian multilateral cooperation, partnership or humanitarian programs and projects, as appropriate. He/She ensures coordination with other stakeholders, including government, civil society, non-governmental organizations and other donors. The Senior International Development Officer represents the Government of Canada at events, participates in policy dialogue and maintains a network of contacts and a knowledge base in support of Canadian development programs and projects in Morocco. He/She also performs other duties as required, such as providing support to the Embassy's political and trade sections as well to the Head of Mission (HOM) office and to official and/or high-level visits.
