Job Title: Email Marketing Lead
Location: Kharadi, Pune
Shift schedule: 2 PM to 11 PM IST (4 day WFO, Friday's WFH)

Role Overview
At Unbound IA, email marketing sits at the heart of our demand generation engine — bridging brand storytelling and pipeline conversion for our clients’ and our own growth. You will be joining a collaborative, data-driven marketing team that is redefining how B2B brands engage their audiences through intelligent, personalized, and scalable email programs.
As Email Marketing Lead at Unbound IA you will sit at the intersection of the marketing and sales development teams and contribute directly to our business growth by building great communications that convert. You will own the strategy, execution, and optimization of email marketing campaigns across the full funnel – from top-of-funnel nurture sequences to sales-enablement workflows and retention programs. This role requires a blend of creative thinking, analytical rigor, and technical fluency in modern marketing automation platforms. You will work closely with content, demand generation, and SDR teams to ensure every email touchpoint drives measurable impact. You will work on both client projects and the agency’s own marketing and sales operations.
Key Responsibilities
Campaign Strategy & Execution
• Plan, build, and deploy multi-touch B2B email campaigns aligned with demand generation and ABM strategies
• Develop and manage nurture sequences, drip programs, re-engagement campaigns, and triggered workflows
• Own end-to-end campaign execution including copywriting briefs, HTML builds, list segmentation, scheduling, and deployment – working with relevant specialist colleagues (e.g.: copywriters, designers, developers) where appropriate to achieve the best results
• Collaborate with content and creative teams to produce compelling, on-brand email assets
• Build and execute the agency’s email newsletter strategy from the ground up (non-existent today), working with content and creative teams to dovetail into the content marketing plan and make best use of existing assets and news stories to share
Automation & CRM Management
• Build and optimize automated email workflows in HubSpot, ensuring seamless integration with CRM data and sales sequences
• Maintain and improve marketing automation architecture – including lead scoring, lifecycle stage transitions, and SDR handoff triggers
• Ensure data hygiene, list health, and compliance with GDPR, CAN-SPAM, CCPA, and other applicable regulations
• Manage subscriber lists, segmentation logic, suppression lists, and preference centers
Performance Analysis & Optimization
• Track, analyze, and report on key email performance metrics: open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates, unsubscribe rates, and pipeline contribution
• Run structured A/B and multivariate tests on subject lines, send times, CTAs, and content formats to continuously improve performance
• Translate data insights into actionable recommendations and iterate campaigns accordingly
• Work with your team and the development team to maintain and iterate the email marketing performance dashboard for regular reporting to leadership
Requirements
• 4+ years of hands-on experience in email marketing within a B2B environment, either brand-side or within an agency setting
• Proven track record of planning and executing high-performing email campaigns that drive measurable pipeline and revenue outcomes
• Deep expertise in HubSpot – including workflows, smart content, sequences, and reporting; hands-on experience with Freshworks CRM for outbound email automation is strongly preferred; exposure to additional platforms such as Marketo, Pardot, or Klaviyo is a plus
• Strong appetite for, or experience with, AI tools such as Claude and ChatGPT, as well as a willingness to learn and design AI-first workflows to aid your work and your colleagues
• Strong understanding of B2B demand generation, lead lifecycle management, and account-based marketing (ABM) principles
• Proficiency in email HTML/CSS for template customization and troubleshooting rendering issues across clients
• Experience managing database segmentation, list hygiene, and compliance with email regulations (GDPR, CAN-SPAM, CCPA)
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret campaign data and drive continuous improvement
• Excellent written communication skills with an eye for B2B copywriting and messaging that converts
• Ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously in a fast-paced agency or in-house environment
• Outstanding spoken and written English
Preferred
• Exposure to AI-powered personalization tools and intent data platforms (e.g. Clay)
• Familiarity with multi-channel campaign orchestration — integrating email with paid, social, content syndication, and SDR outreach
• Experience building and optimizing email programs for both brand awareness and direct response objectives
• Knowledge of deliverability best practices, including domain reputation management, SPF/DKIM/DMARC configuration, and inbox placement optimization
• Study or work experience in an English-speaking country for 1+ years
