About the RoleWe’re looking for a wordsmith who thinks in workflows. You aren’t just "sending newsletters" you are designing the journey for an artist in Melbourne and a boutique hotel buyer in Miami. You’ll own the entire email and SMS ecosystem for both Book An Artist and Wescover. From high-converting blast campaigns to complex automated drips that trigger the moment a mural is finished, you’ll be the voice in our customers' pockets.
What You’ll Actually Be Doing (The Outcomes)
- Architect the Journey: Build and optimize automated lifecycle flows (Welcome, Abandoned Cart, Post-Purchase, Artist Re-engagement) that make money while we sleep.
- The Weekly Pulse: Create high-energy, visually stunning weekly newsletters that showcase our best creators and drive traffic back to the marketplace.
- Segment like a Surgeon: You won't "spray and pray." You’ll segment our lists so that a residential buyer in Sydney isn’t getting the same content as a commercial architect in NYC.
- A/B Test Everything: You’ll obsess over subject lines, CTA buttons, and send times until our open and click rates are the envy of the industry.
- Bridge the Brands: Coordinate cross-promotional campaigns between BAA and Wescover to ensure our community knows exactly how deep our creative ecosystem goes.
What Success Looks Like
- In 3 Months: You’ve audited our existing flows, fixed the "leaky buckets," and have a clean, data-driven content calendar running for both AU and US markets.
- In 6 Months: Email is a top-3 revenue driver. You’ve successfully decreased "churn" (artists going inactive) and increased "repeat hire" rates for our buyers.
The Kit (Experience & Education)
- Experience: 2–4 years in Email Marketing or Retention. If you’ve worked in e-commerce or a two-sided marketplace, you’re our unicorn.
- The Tech: Proficiency in Klaviyo, Mailchimp, or ActiveCampaign is a must. You should know your way around an ESP like the back of your hand.
- Education: A degree in Marketing, English, or Creative Writing is great but a portfolio of emails that actually made people click is even better.
- Copywriting: You write with a "voice." You can be punchy, witty, and persuasive without ever sounding like a robot.
- Data-Literate: You don't just "feel" like a campaign worked; you can dive into the dashboard and prove it with CTR, Conversion, and Revenue-per-recipient data.
