Product Manager (Content Team)

The Product Manager for the Product & Offer Catalog will take on a strategic role, overseeing the development and continuous improvement of a critical platform within eMag. This platform processes tens of millions of products annually and uses AI to optimize operational processes and simplify the listing process for sellers. It enables operational teams to configure catalog structures, manage taxonomy, apply rules for product listings, and define the processes for listing products on eMag Marketplace. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of market trends, customer needs, and technical aspects, driving data-driven decisions to align the platform with eMag’s broader objectives.

What you’ll have to do:

  • Vision and Strategy Development:
  • Develop and articulate a clear product vision and long-term strategy.
  • Create and maintain a comprehensive product roadmap aligned with the product strategy and business objectives
  • Drive strategic decision-making based on customer needs, market potential and financial impact.
  • Product Planning and Execution:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, prioritize, and plan product features.
  • Oversee the product development lifecycle from ideation to launch.
  • Manages all business and technical stakeholders, and ensures a streamlined and transparent communication on the product
  • Analyses, anticipates & tackles any potential risks or challenges that could affect the success of their product
  • Market and Customer Understanding:
  • Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify trends and opportunities for product improvements.
  • Gather customer insights through interviews, surveys, and feedback collection.
  • Uses product analytics to gain a deeper understanding of the customers, their journey and behavior using the product
  • Technical Collaboration and Commercial Insight:
  • Communicate effectively with development teams to make informed technical decisions and find the best solutions for their customers’ needs
  • Collaborate with UI/UX designers to ensure optimal user experience.
  • Maintain a constant alignment between the product strategy / roadmap and the commercial strategy / company’s OKRs.
  • Leadership and Continuous Improvement:
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and excellence.
  • Stay updated on industry news, emerging technologies, and best practices.
  • Actively seek feedback to identify areas for improvement.
  • Project Management and Collaboration:
  • Utilize project management methodologies and tools to plan and execute product initiatives, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Foster collaboration and effective communication among cross-functional teams to ensure seamless coordination and alignment in product development efforts.
  • Identify and mitigate risks to ensure successful project execution.

What makes you a good fit:

  • Proven experience in managing software products through all the lifecycle stages
  • Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of project management processes, workflows, and terminology;
  • Strong business and technical analysis skills, with the ability to engage with internal teams to understand business requirements and deliver technical solutions based on them;
  • Proven experience in managing multiple projects and responsibilities concurrently in a fast-paced environment;
  • Ability to extract insights from data analytics
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships;
  • Demonstrated flexibility, creativity, and problem-solving abilities;
  • Strong planning and prioritization skills
