Role Description
EGEC is currently seeking a highly skilled ELV / ICT BIM Engineer (Revit Modeller) to join our engineering team and support the delivery of large-scale international building projects.
This is a full-time remote role focused on developing and managing BIM models for ELV / ICT (Low Current) systems using Revit. The role requires strong technical expertise in BIM modelling, coordination with multidisciplinary teams, and adherence to project BIM standards and engineering requirements.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate BIM modelling, effective coordination between engineering disciplines, and the successful delivery of design documentation and BIM deliverables.
⚠️ This role is strictly focused on ELV / ICT BIM modelling for building systems and does not involve IT support, network administration, or software development roles.
Key Resposibilities
- Develop, update, and manage BIM models for ELV / ICT systems using Revit
- Produce coordination drawings, shop drawings, and detailed BIM models
- Perform BIM coordination and clash detection with Architecture, Structure, and MEP disciplines
- Model and coordinate ELV / ICT Low Current Systems, including:
- CCTV Systems
- Access Control Systems
- Structured Cabling Systems
- Public Address Systems
- Security Systems
- Data Outlets and Communication Systems
- Ensure models comply with project BIM standards and client requirements
- Participate in BIM coordination meetings and technical reviews
- Support design teams with technical modelling and coordination tasks
- Ensure BIM models follow BIM Execution Plans (BEP) and project BIM workflows
- Maintain accurate documentation and model updates throughout project stages
Mandatory Requirements
- 5–10 years of experience working with ELV / ICT systems in building projects
- Strong hands-on experience using Revit for BIM modelling (mandatory)
- Proven experience developing ELV BIM models directly in Revit
- Strong understanding of Low Current systems modelling
- Experience preparing coordination drawings and shop drawings
- Experience working on large building or infrastructure projects
- Ability to work effectively in a remote engineering environment
- Strong problem-solving and technical coordination skills
⚠️Only candidates with hands-on Revit BIM modelling experience will be considered.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
Professional Certifications (Preferred)
- Autodesk Revit Certified Professional
- BIM Professional Certification
- Experience working with BIM Execution Plans (BEP) and BIM standards
- Additional BIM coordination or modelling certifications are considered an advantage
- English (written and spoken) is mandatory.
Preferred Experience
- Experience working on GCC projects
- Experience within engineering consultancy firms
- Knowledge of Navisworks or other BIM coordination tools
- Experience working on large-scale international building projects
