ELV Design Engineer – High-Rise Residential & Commercial Buildings
Location: Gurugram (5 Days Work From Office)
Employment Type: Full-Time

About the Role
We are looking for a highly capable ELV Design Engineer to join a multidisciplinary engineering and design team working on large-scale residential, commercial, mixed-use, and intelligent building developments.
This role is focused on the design, coordination, and optimization of low-voltage building systems, with a strong emphasis on U.S. building codes, BIM-enabled workflows, and next-generation smart building technologies.
The ideal candidate will come from a leading engineering design consultancy and possess deep expertise in ELV design for building projects rather than infrastructure, industrial, or EPC execution environments.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and engineer ELV systems for high-rise residential, commercial, mixed-use, hospitality, and smart building projects.
* Prepare concept, schematic, design development, tender, and construction-stage deliverables.
* Develop system layouts, riser diagrams, single-line diagrams (SLDs), schematics, equipment schedules, and technical specifications.
* Perform engineering calculations, device coverage studies, network architecture planning, and capacity analysis.
* Design and coordinate intelligent building systems including:
* Fire Alarm Systems (FAS)
* Structured Cabling Systems (SCS)
* CCTV & Video Surveillance
* Access Control Systems
* Public Address & Voice Evacuation Systems
* IPTV / SMATV / MATV Systems
* Building Management Systems (BMS)
* Intercom Systems
* Nurse Call Systems
* HVAC Control Systems
* Building Sensors & Control Devices
* Coordinate closely with Architectural, Structural, MEP, Fire Protection, and BIM teams.
* Participate in design reviews, BIM coordination, and interdisciplinary clash resolution.
* Support the development of data-driven, automated, and parametric design workflows.
* Utilize Excel-based engineering tools for schedules, calculations, quantity take-offs, and design optimization.
Mandatory Requirements
Education
* B.Tech / B.E. in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or related discipline.
* Candidates from premier engineering institutions will be strongly preferred:
* IITs
* Top NITs
* BITS Pilani
* IIITs
* Other leading engineering institutions
Experience
* 4–10 years of core ELV / ICT design experience.
* Strong experience in residential and commercial building projects.
* Experience working with U.S.-based projects and design standards is highly preferred.
* Experience within engineering design consultancies is strongly preferred.
