Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum depending on experience

Job Overview

As an Assistant Product Manager you will be reporting to the Senior Product Manager and work closely with the Product Team, Product Designers, and the Development Team. The role will work to deliver product improvements that positively impact customer behaviours and drive company metrics in a positive direction, in line with our growth targets. You will also be responsible for managing the sprint backlog, refining user stories, and supporting the Development Team to deliver high-impact product improvements. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about product management, highly organised, and driven to deliver customer satisfaction for long term success.


Responsibilities

  • Work closely with customers to understand their needs and ensure their feedback is incorporated into the product.
  • Assist in gathering and prioritising customer feedback to refine product improvements.
  • Carry our market research to help refine new product ideas and improvements
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as marketing, sales, and customer support to communicate product updates effectively.
  • Analyse product data and prepare internal reports to support decision making
  • Own the sprint backlog and ensure alignment with the product roadmap and maintenance.
  • Clarify user stories and acceptance criteria for the development team.
  • Participate in daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning, and sprint reviews.
  • Accept completed user stories and ensure quality standards are met.
  • Manage the product backlog, ensuring it is always up-to-date.
  • Remove roadblocks and impediments that hinder the development team's progress.
  • Collaborate with the development team on technical feasibility and implementation details.


Requirements

  • Experience with Agile development and working with tools such as Jira, Prodpad, or similar.
  • Experience of trialling and using AI tools to increase productivity
  • Strong organisational skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • A passion for learning and developing skills in product management.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Comfortable working with data to make informed decisions, ideally with experience of working with a product data tool like posthog
  • A proactive mindset with a willingness to take initiative and drive progress.
  • Is hands on, and wants to learn through action to ensure progress towards goals
  • Needs to understand customers and the problems they are facing
