About the role
Own the complete hardware design cycle for power electronic products (AC-DC, DC-DC,
chargers, adapters, inverters, etc.) from requirements gathering to mass production.
Develop circuit architecture, select topologies, and execute detailed schematic design for
high-efficiency power stages.
Perform PCB layout design in Altium Designer with emphasis on EMI/EMC, thermal
management, creepage/clearance, and manufacturability.
Conduct component selection and derating analysis for power semiconductors, magnetics,
control ICs, and protection devices.
Validate magnetic components (transformers, inductors) and ensure optimized
performance under thermal and electrical constraints.
Work on thermal modeling, heat sink design, and packaging trade-offs.
Validate designs through bench testing, debugging, and characterization – efficiency,
power quality, EMI/EMC compliance, and safety certifications.
Collaborate with firmware/embedded engineers to implement and tune control strategies
(PFC, PWM, digital control loops).
Interface with manufacturing and sourcing teams to support prototyping, testing, and
volume production readiness.
Ensure designs meet reliability, safety, and regulatory standards (IEC, UL, BIS, etc.).
