Elk City Elementary School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a full-time Teacher's Assistant.
Responsibilities
- Assist the lead teacher in planning and implementing daily lesson plans and activities.
- Support students with their academic tasks, providing one-on-one or small group assistance as needed.
- Prepare classroom materials and resources for lessons and activities.
- Assist with classroom management and organization, ensuring a safe and orderly environment.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and training sessions as required.
- Perform administrative tasks such as grading assignments, maintaining student records, and managing supplies.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree or higher in education or a related field is preferred.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in helping students succeed academically and socially.
- Ability to follow instructions and adapt to various teaching styles and classroom environments.
- Ability to pass background checks and meet any state-specific requirements for working in a school setting.
