Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Agricultural Education Instructor to join our team at Elk City High School. This full-time position involves teaching students about agricultural science, technology, and practices, while fostering a love for agriculture and its importance in society.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive agricultural education curriculum that aligns with state standards and meets the diverse needs of students.
- Facilitate hands-on learning experiences through laboratory work, field trips, and community projects.
- Advise and mentor students in FFA (Future Farmers of America) activities, competitions, and leadership development.
- Collaborate with other educators and community members.
- Maintain a safe and organized learning environment, including the management of agricultural facilities and equipment.
- Engage with parents and the community.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Education, Agricultural Science, or a related field.
- Valid teaching certification in Agricultural Education or eligibility for certification.
- Strong knowledge of agricultural practices, technologies, and current industry trends.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and the community.
- Strong organizational skills
