Data Scientist (R5-R7)

Eli Lilly and Company is a global healthcare leader dedicated to discovering and bringing life-changing medicines to those in need. They are seeking a Data Scientist to provide analytics support and leverage AI/ML techniques to inform business strategies and optimize marketing efforts. Responsibilities: - Provide data analytics, statistics, and machine learning support for healthcare provider (HCP) sales and marketing operations - Leverage artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML) techniques to develop analytics solutions and inform business strategy - Develop data modeling capabilities to provide insights on marketing mix, attribution, channel and spend optimization, and prescriptive analytics - Build model pipelines and integrate results into business outcomes - Scale current data pipelines and increase automation of AI/ML deliverables - Ensure alignment of AI/ML techniques with stakeholder objectives and goals Qualification: - Ph.D. in Statistics, Computational Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field - 2 years of academic or employment experience with leveraging statistics and machine learning techniques to inform business strategy - 2 years of experience with frameworks for developing machine learning models - 2 years of experience with tree-based machine learning models (including XGBoost and LGBM) and deep neural networks (including convolutional neural networks and recurrent neural networks) - 2 years of experience with technical collaboration tools, including GitHub - 2 years of experience with programming languages, including R and Python - 1 year of experience with translating business needs and questions into analytics problems - 1 year of experience with managing and processing large data sets, including data cleaning, augmentation, and annotation
