About the role

Position – Software Engineer, Machine Learning 

About the Product  

OnWatch, TubeWatch are predictive analytics-based asset performance management products powered by data science models developed on enterprise and machine data. The core team comprises of data / MLOPs engineers, data scientists and analytics engineers that develop input, output data pipelines, data science models and rule-based analytics to alert service engineers on maintenance required for GE HealthCare equipment. The individual will work in a highly collaborative environment across these core teams, primarily support the data scientists develop and maintain software code for algorithms.  

Responsibilities 

  • Develop and test system code using standard Software Development practices for predictive analytics data science models 

  • Develop inference codes and implement standard code maintenance, optimization strategies including data quality checks, and error handling 

  • Develop standardized unit and regression test plans for inference code 

  • Develop data science model monitoring capabilities for data and model quality, bias and feature attribution drift 

  • Triage product issues – debug, track and resolve by analyzing root-cause including any data fetch, code troubleshooting and develop automation as required. 

Requirements and Skills 

  • Prior experience (3 to 5 years) as an ML engineer or software engineer with data science products  

  • Demonstrated experience in Python and code optimization in Python 

  • Demonstrated experience in AWS (SageMaker, Athena, S3) and understanding of AWS services such as SageMaker Model Monitor, Managed Services, CloudWatch 

  • Experience in developing/implementing SW requirements
