Key Responsibilities:
- Install, test, commission, and modernise lift and escalator systems.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and emergency repairs with minimal downtime.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system faults.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and manufacturer guidelines.
- Maintain detailed service records and submit technical reports.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and technicians.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.
Requirements:
- Minimum 6+ years of relevant experience in the lift & escalator sector only.
- Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering (or equivalent).
- Strong knowledge of lift/escalator safety codes and standards (e.g., EN81, ISO, local regulations).
- Hands-on experience with major lift & escalator brands (Otis, KONE, Schindler, Mitsubishi, ThyssenKrupp, etc.).
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Physically fit to work in varied environments and heights.
- Flexible to work extended hours and attend emergency callouts.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in advanced control systems and modernization projects.
- Strong customer service orientation and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
