Position Summary:
We are looking for a clinically trained electrophysiologist to join the Fourth Frontier team in
Bengaluru and work at the intersection of cardiac science and wearable technology. You will
analyse ECG data, identify data quality issues, annotate rhythms, and collaborate with our
engineering team to refine the algorithms that power real-time cardiac insights for thousands
of our users.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
● Review and interpret single-lead ECG recordings from wearable devices
● Identify rhythm abnormalities including AFib, PVCs, SVT, bradycardia, tachycardia,
and other arrhythmias
● Detect data quality issues such as packet loss, duplicate data, motion artifact, and
signal noise
● Manually annotate ECG strips to build high-quality labelled datasets
● Define clinical ground truth for algorithm training and validation
● Collaborate with ML/algorithm engineers to review model outputs and identify failure
modes
● Provide clinical guidance on sensitivity/specificity trade-offs for alert thresholds
● Document annotation protocols and clinical review standards
● Contribute to regulatory and clinical validation documentation where required
Essential skills, qualifications and experience:
● Bachelor's degree in pre-medicine, life sciences, or a related field
● Certified cardiac electrophysiologist (board certification or equivalent credential)
● Proficiency in interpreting single-lead and 12-lead ECGs across a broad spectrum of
rhythms
● Familiarity with signal quality artefacts and real-world wearable ECG limitations
● Strong attention to detail and ability to annotate at scale with consistency
● Ability to communicate clinical nuance clearly to a non-clinical engineering audience

● Experience with digital health, wearables, or remote patient monitoring
● Familiarity with machine learning concepts or algorithm development workflows
● Experience contributing to FDA 510(k) or CE Mark clinical evaluation
● Exposure to annotation tools or clinical data labelling pipelines
● Published research in arrhythmia detection or cardiac signal processing
