Electronics Engineer
Location: Bengaluru, India
Brand Name: Integra Robotics
Legal Entity: Social Hardware International Pvt. Ltd.
About Integra Robotics (Formerly known as Social Hardware)
Integra Robotics is pioneering a new era of modular, AI-enabled robotics, powering the transition to Industry 5.0 across India and emerging markets. Our full-stack robotic platforms enable “smart, automated, and resilient” operations, especially in complex sectors like defence, manufacturing, and industrial automation.
Role Overview (Experience with Altium Software)
We are seeking an Electronics Engineer who is passionate about robotics and thrives on product development in multidisciplinary teams. As part of our engineering team, you’ll design, prototype, validate and deploy advanced electronics for diverse robotics platforms, enabling the next generation of smart, automated industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Product-Aligned Circuit Design: Architect advanced analogue/digital circuits to meet requirements for modular robotic arms, defence robots, embedded vision systems, and tele-op controllers.
- PCB & Schematic Development: Use Altium Designer to prepare robust multilayer PCBs covering motion controllers, high-bandwidth sensor interfaces, power management, and MIL-grade system modules.
- Component & System-Level Selection: Identify and qualify components for reliability in harsh industrial/field environments: encoders, motor drivers, RF modules, camera/vision systems, batteries, robust connectors.
- Signal Integrity & EMI/EMC: Empower operation in noisy environments through grounding, shielding, and best practices for EMI/EMC in robotics and industrial automation.
- Prototype Assembly & Productisation: Generate production files (Gerbers, BOMs, assembly drawings) and oversee prototype bring-up, iterative testing, reliability validation, and DFM/DFT processes.
- Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with mechanical, firmware, AI/ML, and embedded software teams to ensure seamless, integrated solutions.
- Manufacturing Handoff: Support transition of R&D designs to scalable, manufacturable products, contributing to standardised manufacturing SOPs and maintaining strong documentation/version control.
Required Skills & Experience
- Education: B.E./B.Tech or higher in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or a relevant discipline.
- Experience: 2–3 years of direct, hands-on experience in hardware design and PCB layout, preferably on robotics, automation, or embedded systems products.
- Design Tools: Mastery of Altium Designer, or similar advanced PCB CAD tools.
- Robotics Platform Integration:
- Experience designing for motion systems (motor drivers, encoders, power management)
- Sensor front-ends (IMUs, cameras, force/torque, haptics)
- Communication buses (CAN, SPI, RS-485, Ethernet)
- Power electronics for battery-powered platforms
- EMI/EMC and Ruggedisation: Working knowledge of standards and mitigation for MIL/industrial devices.
- Lab Skills: Skilled in bench testing (oscilloscopes, logic analysers, programmable power, hardware-in-loop).
- Productisation: Exposure to transitioning prototypes to pilot and production batches, including DFM/DFT, supply chain interaction, and version control systems.
- Documentation: Ability to prepare comprehensive engineering/production documentation and support knowledge transfer to manufacturing.
Preferred/Bonus Skills
Experience designing and validating:
- High-speed signal PCB/RF circuits
- Industrial/military-grade power and control circuits
- Systems for vision, tele-op, and multi-robot control
Familiarity with:
- Robotics or automation standards (industrial, defence, safety)
- Embedded microcontroller or Linux SBC hardware design
- Robotics middleware (e.g., ROS integration at board level)
- Hardware for machine learning sensors and actuators
Why Join Us?
- Direct Impact: Build for real-world deployment in defence, manufacturing, and next-gen AI/robotics training.
- IP-driven Innovation: Work alongside founders and advisors shaping both national and global robotics.
- Fast-Growth Culture: Exposure to all phases of deep-tech product life cycle, from lab to large-scale production.
- Career Growth: Competitive package, learning/growth opportunities, and leadership tracks.
- Diverse, Inclusive Team: We value diversity and are committed to a world-class workplace culture.
