ECIL GET Vacancy Breakdown 2025 ECIL has notified a total of 80 vacancies for the Graduate Engineer Trainee position across multiple engineering disciplines. The detailed distribution is as follows: Discipline Number of Posts ECE/Electronics/Electronics & Tele-Communication 34 E&I/Instrumentation 02 CSE/Information Technology 18 Mechanical 16 EEE/Electrical 05 Civil 03 Chemical 02 Total 80 Category-wise reservation for the 80 GET posts is as follows: UR – 38, EWS – 8, OBC – 22, SC – 10, ST – 02. Discipline-wise reservations are also detailed in the official notification. ECIL GET Eligibility Criteria 2025 Aspiring candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria to apply for the ECIL GET positions: Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess a full-time four-year Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a first-class or minimum 60% aggregate marks [50% marks (aggregate) for SC/ST candidates] in the relevant branch/discipline from an institute or university recognized by AICTE or the Government of India. Final year/semester students awaiting their final results are also eligible to apply, provided they have secured the requisite first-class marks in aggregate up to the pre-final examination. They must produce their Degree Certificate/Provisional Certificate/Consolidated mark sheet at the time of Document Verification. Candidates with dual/combination degrees like Automobile Eng., Mechatronics, Construction Eng., etc., along with the specified disciplines, are not eligible. No equivalent qualifications will be accepted. Wherever CGPA/OGPA/DGPA or Letter Grade is awarded, its equivalent percentage of marks must be indicated in the application form as per the norms adopted by the University/Institute. Proof of these norms must be submitted during document verification. Age Limit: The upper age limit for Unreserved (UR) candidates is 27 years as of April 30, 2025. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories: 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC (NCL) candidates. PwD candidates (degree of disability 40% or above) get a relaxation of 10 years. Candidates domiciled in Jammu & Kashmir from 01/01/1980 to 31/12/1989 are eligible for a 5-year age relaxation. Ex-servicemen are eligible for age relaxation equivalent to the service rendered in Defence plus three years. Experience: No specific prior experience is required for the Graduate Engineer Trainee positions.
