Job Summary:
Sinter Operator 1 is responsible for performing basic production tasks, assisting with furnace operations, conducting visual inspections, and supporting quality efforts. This is an entry-level position working under close supervision.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Required:
- Performs basic functions of the sinter room.
- Stacking parts from press
- Making foil packs
- Cleaning trays and sinter boats
- Assists with Sinter loads as needed
- Measures blocks and records information
- Can use the basic functions of Epicor with guidance
- Maintains housekeeping standards.
- Follow all safety and quality standards.
- Ensure cleanliness of work area.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years of manufacturing experience.
• Ability to read and interpret part prints.
• Basic troubleshooting skills.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:
- Works in a clean, well-lit production environment; requires protective footwear and eyewear.
- Regularly stands on cement floors with rubber mats; may involve sitting, stooping, bending, and walking.
- Capable of lifting and transporting an average weight of 10 lbs., up to a maximum of 40 lbs.
- Requires manual dexterity and near visual acuity.
- Ability to understand verbal instructions and comply with quality and safety regulations.
