Role Description The Electrician role at SUNRAY VILLAGE RESORT is a full-time, on-site position based in Vishakhapatnam. The Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment across the resort, including guest rooms, common areas, and back-of-house facilities. Daily tasks include performing routine inspections, identifying faults, troubleshooting electrical issues, and ensuring timely, safe repairs to minimize downtime and disruption to guests. The role also involves coordinating with the maintenance team, adhering to safety standards and compliance requirements, documenting work performed, and supporting preventive maintenance initiatives to keep resort operations running smoothly.
Qualifications
- Strong technical knowledge of electricity and core electrical engineering principles applicable to resort and facility operations.
- Practical experience in electrical work, including installation, wiring, and configuration of electrical systems and equipment.
- Proficiency in maintenance & repair of electrical fixtures, panels, and devices, with a focus on safety and reliability.
- Demonstrated ability in troubleshooting electrical issues, diagnosing root causes, and implementing effective solutions.
- Relevant technical certification or diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field; valid electrician license where required.
- Familiarity with local electrical codes, safety regulations, and best practices for working with live systems and high-load equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, manuals, and maintenance documentation.
- Good communication skills, ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional resort teams, and willingness to work flexible hours when needed.
- Prior experience in hospitality, facilities management, or large residential/commercial properties is an advantage.
