Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Electrician role based in Chengalpattu, Chennaí. The Electrician will install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in accordance with safety standards and local regulations. Day-to-day tasks include wiring, panel and circuit work, routine inspections, and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal functioning of electrical infrastructure. The role involves diagnosing electrical faults, performing troubleshooting, and responding promptly to breakdowns or service requests. The Electrician will also document work performed, coordinate with supervisors and other team members, and ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications
- Strong foundational knowledge of electricity and practical electrical work skills.
- Experience in maintenance & repair of electrical systems and equipment.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical issues and identifying root causes.
- Understanding of basic electrical engineering principles relevant to field work.
- Relevant technical qualification or certification in electrical trade (ITI, diploma, or equivalent).
- Knowledge of safety standards, local electrical codes, and best practices.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively on-site.
- Prior experience as an Electrician in industrial, commercial, or residential settings is an advantage.
