Job Role: Electrical Wiring Harness Design Engineer - CATIA
Work Experience: 1 to 6 Years
Location: Chennai
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop electrical wiring harness systems for automotive or industrial applications.
- Create 2D and 3D harness routing using CAD tools such as CATIA / Zuken E3 / Siemens NX.
- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing teams for system integration.
- Prepare and maintain wiring diagrams, connector tables, and BOMs.
- Conduct design reviews, DFMEA, and validation activities.
- Support prototype builds, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Coordinate with suppliers for component selection and cost optimization.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- 1+ years of experience in wiring harness design and development.
- B.E / B.Tech in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (Mandatory).
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and wiring harness architecture.
- Hands-on experience with CATIA (mandatory) or other harness design tools.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and drawings.
- Familiarity with automotive/industrial standards (ISO 26262, IPC/WHMA-A-620).
- Experience with PLM tools (ENOVIA preferred) and change management processes.
- Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
