We’re Hiring – Electrical Test Engineer (IS & IEC Standards)
Location: KIADB Aerospace Park, Jala Hobli, Bengaluru
Elenergy Lab is a NABL-accredited and BIS-recognized testing and certification laboratory. We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Electrical Test Engineer – IS & IEC Standards to join our growing team. We are committed to excellence, accuracy, and integrity in all our testing and certification services.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct testing on electrical and mechanical equipment
- Fulfil technical and testing requirements as per IS and IEC standards
- Maintain observation records and prepare test reports
- Evaluate measurement uncertainty
- Support the Quality Manager and Technical Manager in maintaining ISO/IEC 17025-compliant technical documentation
- Maintain and control quality and technical records
- Manage replicate, retained, and intermediate samples, and calibration plans
- Review customer requests, service providers, and suppliers
- Conduct risk analysis and handle complaints and non-conformities
- Implement and evaluate corrective actions
- Participate in NABL, BIS, and internal audits
- Oversee equipment maintenance and traceability
- Provide technical support and training to junior staff
- Monitor updates to standards and technical literature
- Create and review SOPs
- Identify and mitigate risks in testing and calibration activities
- Review tenders and contracts and maintain technical documentation as per quality system requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE), Electronics & Communication (ECE), or Electronics & Instrumentation (E&I)
Experience & Skills
- 1–2 years of relevant experience in a similar role
- Preferred experience with IEC 61010, JSS 555, QM 333, IS 17017, MIL & Telecom Standards
- Strong understanding of ISO/IEC 17025, IS, and IEC standards
- Knowledge of power electronic circuits, analog and digital circuits
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Hands-on experience with equipment such as:
- High Voltage Machines
- Impulse Test Systems
- EFT & Surge
- Meter Test Benches
- DC Even Harmonics, AC/DC Magnet
- Environmental Chambers, Vibration and Shock Test Machines
- Dust Chamber, IP and Glow Wire Apparatus
- AC/DC Sources, Auto Transformers, Multimeters, Data Loggers, Meters
- Exposure to EMI/EMC testing, insulation resistance (IR), and safety testing equipment
