Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Electrical Technician role based in Chennai. The Electrical Technician will perform routine and preventive electrical maintenance on production lines, utilities, and plant facilities to ensure reliable and safe operations. Responsibilities include inspecting, installing, repairing, and servicing electrical equipment, panels, motors, drives, and control systems in accordance with standards and safety regulations. The role involves diagnosing faults, troubleshooting breakdowns, and promptly restoring operations to minimize downtime. The Electrical Technician will assist in electrical project work, support equipment upgrades, maintain accurate maintenance records, and collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve efficiency and reliability.
Qualifications
- Strong electrical maintenance and troubleshooting skills, including hands-on experience with industrial Electrical Maintenance and Electricity.
- Knowledge of Electrical Engineering principles applied to plant operations and process equipment.
- Proficiency in working with Electrical Equipment such as motors, control panels, drives, sensors, and PLC interfaces.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Diploma or ITI in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline; equivalent practical experience will be considered.
- Familiarity with safety standards, lockout/tagout procedures, and safe work practices in industrial environments.
- Effective problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in shifts and under time-sensitive conditions.
- Prior experience in food processing, FMCG, or other continuous-process manufacturing environments is an advantage.
