Purpose of the Position
The Electrical Service Engineer will be responsible for installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and customer support for roll forming and industrial machines. The role requires extensive travel to customer sites and remote support through phone and video calls.
Key Responsibilities
- Visit customer sites for machine installation, commissioning, testing, and start-up support after machine dispatch.
- Perform electrical wiring inspections, PLC troubleshooting, HMI programming support, sensor setup, and machine validation.
- Provide technical assistance through phone calls, WhatsApp, video calls, and remote troubleshooting.
- Identify and resolve electrical, automation, and machine control issues efficiently.
- Coordinate with Production, Design, and Service departments for technical issue resolution.
- Train customer operators and maintenance personnel on machine operation and preventive maintenance.
- Prepare and submit installation, commissioning, and service reports after every visit.
- Ensure high customer satisfaction through prompt and professional support.
- Follow company safety procedures and service standards during all assignments.
- Support breakdown maintenance and emergency service requirements.
- Maintain service records and update customer feedback regularly.
- Travel extensively across India and overseas as per business requirements.
Required Qualifications
Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Experience
Minimum 2+ years of experience in machine installation, commissioning, service support, or industrial automation. Experience in Roll Forming Machines will be preferred.
Technical Skills
- PLC and HMI troubleshooting.
- Electrical panel wiring and control systems.
- Industrial sensors, drives, and automation systems.
- Electrical fault diagnosis and corrective actions.
- Machine commissioning and testing.
- MS Office and service report preparation.
